Skips come in all sizes, from small capacities to large skips with a huge storage potential. However as skips get larger they cannot take as much weight as you may expect. Roll On Off skips can take more weight as they are not lifted onto the truck. But what do you do when the waste in question is most of a house? No skip can handle that amount of waste in one go without being seriously overloaded. It may be possible for you to use multiple skips but few sites have the storage space for more than a couple of builder’s skips or Roll On Off skips. Depending on the size of your demolition filling skips in sequence is wasteful of time and resources, even more of a bad idea when you need to clear the site as quickly as possible to make way for new construction.
The best solution here is to use a Grab Loader. Grab Loaders do not have weight issues as they lift the waste into a permanently mounted load area. This approach is perfect to deal with a pile of post demolition waste quickly. Even if the volume of the waste does exceed the load area of the Grab Loader the turnaround time of loading to returning from the recycling centre is much reduced, allowing you to clear your site very quickly and get your workforce onto the next stage of your project.
