Demolishing outbuildings, clearing ground for new buildings and other ambitious domestic projects can create a prodigious amount of waste. Normal skips can take a lot of waste but when you are dealing with large quantities of loose rubble, carpentry or tree limbs from a demolition or ground clearance the amounts of waste can rapidly exceed the capacity of a regular skip.
Regular skips are all lifted onto the lorry by a lifting davit which means that there is a quite restrictive upper limit on how big a standard skip can be, larger than this and the lifting rig would have to be too wide for UK roads, or the skip so long that it would not be possible to lift without careful balancing. Roll On Roll Off skips dont suffer from this issue as the skip is not lifted and so the skip can be as wide as the delivery vehicle.
Roll On Roll Off skips have a far greater volume than even a large skip and so are really great value for high waste volume projects. Projects that may produce this level of waste are full building demolitions, possibly flattening an old Barn or garage block. Clearing a large garden, especially one that has run to heavy undergrowth and heavy bushes, can produce huge amounts of waste, from larger woody branches to clearing undergrowth and the inevitable excavations of previously hidden building and equipment remains.
So if you think that your project is going to produce a large amount of waste it is worth calling us to find out if a single Roll On Roll Off Skip will be more cost effective than a succession of small skips.
NB sizes may vary according to your location. Skips are for
general waste only, no Fridges, no TV's or monitors, hazardous
waste which includes paints, solvents liquids
or asbestos.
The extra size of a Roll On Roll Off skip does mean that weight limits are easily reached but please discuss this with your Skip Hire UK expert. If you do have lots of dense aggregate to dispose of we can find a solution that is both efficient and good value.
Before you order please ensure that you can place the skip on
private property. They can be placed on the
road but you may need a skip permit.
This we can arrange.
