Permits

All skips are to be placed on private land. If private land is not available and your skip is to be placed on the public highway a skip hire permit will be required.  Additional charges enforced by the relevant local authority will be applied in such instances, in addition to the cost of hire. Charges for skip hire permits together with their enforcement vary regionally.

All permits are chargeable to the customer. Should the permit be declined by the local authority, this charge is non-refundable.

Hire Period

All skips have a maximum 14 days hire period. If your skip is required for longer than this period, please contact us to discuss your options.

Delivery / Collection

Delivery on the day of hire will be between the hours of 7am and 5.30pm.  You are not required to be present on delivery unless you specifically want to be present to ensure the skip is placed in the correct location.

Please ensure the location of where the skip is to be placed is accessible for a skip lorry and clear from obstruction for both delivery and collection.

Prohibited Materials

Hazardous materials can not be loaded into the skip, please visit our terms and conditions for more information on permitted waste streams for skip hire.

The 4-yard skip is one of the most versatile on the market making it ideal for small house clearances, home renovations and small bathroom refits.

Also known as a midi or mini skip it can typically store up to 4 cubic yards of waste. Our typical hire periods are 14 days, but longer hire periods are available if needed.

When hiring a 4-yard skip be sure to check you have suitable access for both delivery and collection from one of our skip vehicles.

Most general waste streams are permitted in a skip.  However below is a list of typical waste streams that are NOT permitted:

Fridge/freezers, Tyres, Paint tins, TVs/Monitors, Asbestos, Clinical/Medical waste, Gas cylinders, Fluorescent tubes, Solvents, Liquids, Oils, Batteries, Plasterboard, Hazardous/Toxic Materials

Please note: this list is not exhaustive and if you are unsure, please contact us prior to disposing of your waste.
